Why partner with our specialists

Emergency-grade assessment, delivered remotely

We bring the clinical authority of an emergency department to whiplash claims — without imaging queues, specialist waitlists or unnecessary travel for the claimant.

FACEM-led assessment

Every claimant is assessed by a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine — the highest tier of acute-care expertise.

Trained telehealth examiners

All doctors complete our standardised telehealth examination workflow — guided range-of-motion, neuro screening and red-flag triage done consistently, every time.

Certification of capacity

Assessment, treatment direction and a certificate of capacity issued same-day under the relevant state scheme — ready for the insurer and employer.

Reduced lost time

Early clinical certainty supports graduated return-to-activity, fewer unnecessary imaging requests and lower claim duration.

The telehealth examination workflow

A consistent, documented pathway — referral to certificate

STEP 01

Referral & triage

Insurers, schemes or case managers refer the claimant. We triage within hours and book a secure-video appointment.

STEP 02

Structured examination

The FACEM takes a focused history, screens for red flags, and guides the claimant through active range-of-motion and a neurological assessment.

STEP 03

Diagnosis & WAD grading

Serious pathology is ruled out and the injury is graded (Whiplash-Associated Disorder I–IV), with a clear, evidence-based management plan.

STEP 04

Treatment & certification

Prescriptions, advice and referrals are issued, plus a certificate of capacity under the relevant state scheme — with continuity to resolution.

If serious injury is suspected at any point, the specialist coordinates escalation and a documented handover to in-person or emergency care.

How specialist telehealth changes the claim trajectory

CASE 01

CTP claimant, rear-end collision

Regional NSW · WAD II

A claimant in a regional town faced a multi-week wait for an in-person specialist. The FACEM completed a guided telehealth examination, confirmed WAD II and excluded serious pathology.

Outcome

Same-day certificate of capacity for graduated return, with a physiotherapy plan — no travel, no waitlist.

CASE 02

Workers' comp, delivery driver

Low-speed collision · WAD I

A driver reported neck pain after a low-speed incident. The specialist's red-flag screen and neuro assessment ruled out serious injury, avoiding an unnecessary imaging request.

Outcome

Certified for modified duties same day — worker stayed at work with no lost time.

CASE 03

Persistent symptoms, 6-week review

Slow recovery · WAD II–III

A claimant with slower-than-expected recovery was reassessed by the same treating specialist, who reviewed progress and adjusted the management plan.

Outcome

Coordinated referral and an updated certificate of capacity, keeping the claim moving with clear documentation.

Illustrative scenarios shown for clinical context. Each assessment is individual; serious or evolving presentations are escalated to in-person or emergency care.
