Dr Mark Little is an emergency physician & Clinical toxicologist at Cairns Hospital, and has an academic appointment with James Cook University.

He has a VMO appointment with the NSW Poisons Information Service and provides toxicology advice throughout Australia, as well as running a clinical toxicology service for Cairns and N Queensland. He works in a busy emergency department in tropical Australia. He is an active Australian Army reserve medical specialist and was in the Australian Regular Army in the early 1990’s. He deployed to Iraq in 1991. Mark is extensively involved Australian Medical Assistance Teams having deployed on 4 occasions overseas as well as deployments within Australia. He has co edited 2 textbooks, Toxicology Handbook and Textbook of Adult Emergency Medicine.

He is extensively involved in teaching both in Cairns, nationally and overseas.
